Jiu-jitsu is a martial art and combat sport which is generally called an art of softness. It is a martial art that consists of grappling and striking techniques. The goal of jiu-jitsu is to gain a dominant position and use joint locks check holds to force an opponent to submit or knocked out depends on what is the method of submission.

Jiu-jitsu suggests the principle in which a smaller and weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend the bigger and stronger assailant. Jiu-Jitsu academies offer superior instruction and training for all men, women and children. It also gives a comfortable atmosphere for both newcomers and those returning to the sport.

Presently, jiu-jitsu is still practiced as it was hundreds of years ago. A slight change that comes to this is that many modified forms for sport are practicing by the practitioners. Derived sports forms of jiu-jitsu include the Olympic sport and martial art of judo.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu

Like other martial arts, this technique doesn’t involve spectacular throws and kicks and also no ceremonials blows. Unlike boxing, it has no punching and unlike virtually every other fighting technique, it does not rely on brute strength. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a form of self-defense that takes place almost entirely on the ground. Fighters use the positions that are like snake grabbling and crawling.

Gracie jiu-jitsu

The Gracie jiu-jitsu was created in Brazil, in the early part of this century. This technique was pioneered by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Carlos Gracie, who studied traditional Japanese jiu-jitsu as a teenager under the great Japanese champion, Mitsuyo Maeda.

Benefits of jiu-jitsu

After performing this technique you would be able to land powerful strikes and using gravity that can help you to deliver incredible power can easily do this. You can also apply joint locks and chokes in this position. When you mount you should be totally relaxed as a little hesitation can prove costly for you.

In this article, dental practice internet marketing consultant Lloyd Irvin will share to you the concept/analogy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and how it can be related to dental practice marketing. As a background, the dental practice internet marketing consultant first started as a master of the martial arts, with a specialty in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is a world champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and is handling one of the best martial arts teams in the country. In this article, he will also share to you the importance of following his systems in making you achieve your goals and success in your dental practice. And this is something that we focus specifically at our dental practice internet marketing website!

Here’s what the dental practice internet marketing consultant would share to you about the concept of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:

When it comes to being an instructor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the biggest, most frustrating problem that I always have is that my new students would want to learn the most fanciest techniques there are right away! I always tell them that what really makes everything work are the important core basics. But they want to see the “flying triangle”, the “flying disc”, and all these super duper things, and they don’t want to concentrate on the core, mundane, tedious basics of this kind of martial arts. For me, I have the system called the “Androidal Philosophy”. Now, what is this kind of philosophy? Take for example a picture of an android that is being programmed to do what the program only stated it to do. Now, anything that you have to do, if you were that android, you would only do what the program only stated or assigned you to do. You should never do anything different! So I have my own system, and if you follow my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu system, don’t deviate; let me be the programmer and you’d be the android! And I can guarantee you a high level success. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is just a simple thing. Imagine two people grabbing each other, rolling on the ground, flipping and spinning, all blocking, but no matter how you see people wrestling like this; you’ll never know what it’s all about. Brazilian Jiu jitsu is once you hit the ground, your job is to control the grip while you stabilize your position, and while looking for submission. If there is no submission, further control your grip, while stabilizing your position, all the while further trying to advance your position. And this repeats over and over again! Now, if you have this understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, you have to learn all the different control positions and all the different advancing positions! But then always go first with the core principle, and then you can build upon that. That’s the system of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Now, how can we relate this to the internet marketing system? As a dental practice internet marketing consultant, I always tell people in their dental practice that (as I teach them my systems in internet marketing), no matter what you do, you must master the flow of my internet marketing system if you want to do business online. My system is once you put a website up, your job is to drive traffic to that website! Then convert as much of that traffic to that website through customers/ prospects.. and that’s it. I always tell them to keep in mind my formula: Traffic + Conversion = Cash. To increase the cash, you can increase your traffic, or you can increase your conversion, or better yet, for best results… increase both of them! I assure you that following this system and formula that I have (like applying the “Androidal Philosophy” that I have for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), will guarantee you success in your dental practice business!

James Liu asked:

Have you ever been in a situation that required you to act against an attacker? Have you ever thought that learning martial arts is the need of the hour? If these questions hold good for you, then learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the answer!

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is from the Japanese martial art that uses a system of throws, strikes, blocks, sweeps and locks to overcome an attacker. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is both practical and defensive. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps the defender to make use of the attacker’s strength, size and momentum for his/her advantage to overcome the attacker. One can become very good at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu because of this reason. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training is a gradual process and one has to pass through a belt structure and face and overcome increasingly demanding armed and unarmed attacks. Since Brazilian Jiu Jitsu involves learning techniques by practicing together, trust develops among the learners and the teacher and there is a congenial social life in the clubs.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very popular in many areas like the military and law enforcement. It is also a very popular sport. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques are used as military unarmed combat techniques in many countries like UK, USA and Russia. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques are being used by police in many countries to overcome criminals. Most notably, the Tokyo Police employs Taiho Jitsu-a form of Jiu Jitsu to arrest criminals. There are many forms of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that are used as a sport. Of all the forms, mixed type competitions are most common. In mixed competitions, participants use a variety of holds, throws and strikes to score points. There are also freestyle competitions, where the competitors take turns being attacked by other competitors. The defender is judged on the basis of performance.

Physical fitness is not a constraint for learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Regular training will improve physical fitness, coordination time, strength and agility and the most important of all-self-confidence. Regular training also increases one’s strength of character. Jiu Jitsu lessons learned during training in the mat will influence thinking in day to day life.

The best way to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is by joining the local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club. There are many Brazilian Jiu Jitsu clubs in Orange County. Learning a martial art is a very daunting task. Learning it all in a go is not possible for a novice. In most of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu clubs care is taken to ensure that the rate of learning is normal and comfortable for the novice. All that one needs to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the willingness to learn and some loose clothing. As mentioned before, the lessons learned on the mat will influence the way of life for the rest of the days.
